Spring 2018: courses to consider

Explore Health Careers - Learning Community

Health careers spring courses are a two-course program (Medical Terminology, Introduction to Health Careers) designed to help students explore different health care careers.

Class activities allow students to explore their healthcare specialty of interest while offering them a foundational understanding of healthcare systems, processes, culture, ethics, and integrated professions. Students will receive required certifications in medical areas such as HIPPA and Universal Precautions Procedures.

Students will also have the opportunity to visit local healthcare facilities and guest speakers from specialty areas. Course content is thoughtfully chosen and introduced to replicate trending healthcare practices and current standards so as to prepare students to excel in educational tracts and professional environments specific to healthcare.
