In Real Life—A Comic Arts Show, honors truth-telling, non-fiction comics by remarkably talented and internationally recognized Bay Area creators, bringing together for the first time some of the most prominent voices of the moment, along with up and coming artists. A one-of a kind show!

In Real Life - A Comic Arts Show

Featuring art work by:

Khalil Bendib, Adam Bessie, Thi Bui, Nomi Kane, Jason Novak, Ajuan Mance, Liz Mayorga, Josh Neufeld, Marc Parenteau, Nick Sousanis, Andy Warner, Ana Valdez, Anonymous Bay Area College Student


This exhibit features non-fiction work – memoir, reporting, history, essays, with a goal to exhibit the diversity of experience and perspectives of our community. All creators are established and up-and-coming artists from the Bay Area. Further, as an educational institution, our primary mission is inspiration – for our diverse student community to find themselves in the work, and find inspiration to tell their own stories.

 Urban Sketcher Drawing Events

*For all drawing events meet at the gallery, after a brief talk we move to the drawing location. Bring your sketchbook, pens, pencils and markers and be ready to draw. Instructor: Arthur King

2/13 Drawing one of Mat Zebleys DVC Jazz Ensemble group rehearsals. 12:20 - 2pm

2/22 Draw in the DVC theater during a show rehearsal 6 - 10pm
